Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


A specialized opportunity is available for a Social Worker with experience in school environments to support the needs of elementary students on a contract basis for the current school year. This role is located in Clinton Township, MI, within an elementary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct counseling and social work support to elementary students, addressing emotional, behavioral, and social challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop interventions and support plans tailored to individual student needs.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students requiring additional services and coordinate referrals to community resources as appropriate.
  • Facilitate group sessions focused on social skills, coping strategies, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and case notes in compliance with school policies and confidentiality guidelines.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Work (Bachelors or Masters preferred) with relevant licensure or certification.
  • Prior experience working as a school social worker, particularly at the elementary level.
  • Strong understanding of child development and the challenges faced by elementary-aged children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with school staff, students, and families.
  • Ability to manage caseloads efficiently within a dynamic school environment.
