Job Description:
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to serve students in Norfolk and Virginia Beach area schools. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to foster academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and positive learning environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological and educational assessments to identify students needs.

  • Provide individual and group counseling to support social, emotional, and behavioral development.

  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create effective interventions and strategies.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans.

  • Deliver crisis intervention and ongoing student support when needed.

  • Maintain accurate records, evaluations, and required documentation.

  • Serve as a key resource for staff and families regarding mental health and learning challenges.

Requirements:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.

  • Active Virginia state licensure/certification as a School Psychologist.

  • Knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education processes.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

  • Previous school-based experience preferred.
