A school district in Jackson, MI is seeking a School Psychologist to support elementary school students on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. This position offers the opportunity to provide vital psychological services in an educational setting focused on early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments to evaluate student learning needs
- Develop and implement intervention plans based on assessment results
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to special education planning
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and district policies
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license for the state of Michigan
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school environment
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently within a contract period
