A school district in Hendersonville, TN is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support K-12 students throughout the upcoming school year. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic educational environment focused on fostering student success and well-being.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Providing counseling and behavioral interventions to students as needed
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing expert recommendations
- Assisting in crisis response and prevention activities to support school safety and student mental health
- Maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
Desired qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or licensure to practice as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with diverse K-12 populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school personnel
- Knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies aligned with current best practices
