In this role, you’ll work closely with families, service providers, and staff to meet the unique needs of our residents by delivering consistent, high-quality, and personalized care through the Best Friends Approach to Alzheimer’s care. You’ll also lead the creation of a warm, safe environment you’d want for your own loved ones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and supervise team members in collaboration with the Executive Director. Conduct timely performance reviews to encourage growth.

  • Inspire, guide, and empower your team through effective communication, training, and recognition programs.

  • Address staff concerns professionally, handling disciplinary actions with Director support.

  • Manage department operations within the budget, ensuring resources are used effectively.

  • Collaborate with families, staff, and service providers to deliver personalized, dignified care.

  • Oversee resident safety, emergency response, and tailored programs like fall prevention and exercise plans.

  • Maintain accurate documentation to meet regulatory requirements.

  • Guide residents and families through care decisions, service changes, and alternatives.

  • Participate in memory care meetings and partner with the Director on outreach and marketing efforts.

  • Ensure the neighborhood is always clean, organized, and welcoming.

  • Build a vibrant environment by engaging with residents, families, and the community.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in Geriatrics, Elder Care, or related field preferred, with experience in senior housing or elder care.

  • At least 2 years of leadership experience in a supervisory role.

  • Knowledge of licensure regulations, OSHA standards, safety procedures, employment law, and food service.

  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building a warm, supportive environment.

  • Computer proficiency and comfort with social media for engagement.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and cover other departments as needed.

  • Fluent English skills required.
