In this role, you’ll work closely with families, service providers, and staff to meet the unique needs of our residents by delivering consistent, high-quality, and personalized care through the Best Friends Approach to Alzheimer’s care. You’ll also lead the creation of a warm, safe environment you’d want for your own loved ones.
Key Responsibilities
Recruit, train, and supervise team members in collaboration with the Executive Director. Conduct timely performance reviews to encourage growth.
Inspire, guide, and empower your team through effective communication, training, and recognition programs.
Address staff concerns professionally, handling disciplinary actions with Director support.
Manage department operations within the budget, ensuring resources are used effectively.
Collaborate with families, staff, and service providers to deliver personalized, dignified care.
Oversee resident safety, emergency response, and tailored programs like fall prevention and exercise plans.
Maintain accurate documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
Guide residents and families through care decisions, service changes, and alternatives.
Participate in memory care meetings and partner with the Director on outreach and marketing efforts.
Ensure the neighborhood is always clean, organized, and welcoming.
Build a vibrant environment by engaging with residents, families, and the community.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Geriatrics, Elder Care, or related field preferred, with experience in senior housing or elder care.
At least 2 years of leadership experience in a supervisory role.
Knowledge of licensure regulations, OSHA standards, safety procedures, employment law, and food service.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building a warm, supportive environment.
Computer proficiency and comfort with social media for engagement.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and cover other departments as needed.
Fluent English skills required.
