About Bridging Differences ABA:

Our goal is to provide empirically based therapeutic services to children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); including communication, social, emotional, developmental, and functional needs. We aim to support the child’s family in meeting these needs and help bridge individual neurodevelopmental differences to create positive outcomes.

About the Position: Registered Behavior Technician

Bridging Differences ABA is looking for reliable, professional, fun, and energetic individuals who share our passion of serving and helping families to fill current Behavior Technician openings. As a Behavior Technician, you will provide 1:1 in-home ABA services for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. You will be working directly with children to teach and implement a variety of skills, including self-help, communication, play, and social skills. We are seeking both certified Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) as well as uncertified individuals looking to enter the ABA field. Courses and training to obtain your RBT certification are provided within the first 3 months.

Hours 15+/- hours per week and 30 minutes travel time to client is required.

Position Requirements:

  • Complete ALL prescreen questions.
  • Enjoys working with children and adolescents
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a verifiable High School Diploma/G. E. D. at a minimum; Bachelor’s Degree, or near completion of a Bachelor’s degree preferred*
  • Resume, cover letter, and list of references required
  • Valid Driver's License and Proof of current Auto Insurance Policy
  • Background Check Clearance
  • Physical Health Screening: Must be physically able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and sitting (likely at a smaller, child size table), have the ability to move and carry up to 40lbs, and react quickly if necessary (e.g., run after a child)
  • Complete submission of required documents (i.e., vaccination verification (e.g., MMR), TB clearance, auto insurance) prior to first day of work.
  • RBT, ABAT, or BCAT Certification preferred. If certified, proof of certification is required upon hire. If the candidate is un-certified, certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. BDABA provides the coursework and upon passing, reimbursement of certification application and exam costs.
  • Reliable transportation, with Auto Insurance coverage.
  • Apple IPad savvy, and reliable access to Internet
  • Professional demeanor, respectful attitude, strong verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills, problem-solving and critical thinking.

Position Preference but not required:

  • Bilingualism
  • CPR/First Aid
  • CPI Certification
  • 1 year verified related experience
  • 1 year verified ABA experience

Pay Scale:

$21.00-$25.00 (RBT or BCAT certified)

$20.00 (uncertified)

Retention bonus incentive program offered from RBT certification date.

Work Location:

  • We currently provide ABA services to families in El Dorado, Sacramento, Amador, Nevada, and Placer counties. You will only need to travel a maximum of 30 minutes from your home address to a client session.
