Shift: Tuesday - Saturday OR Sunday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm with some outside hours needed to support a 24/7 mental health treatment center

Job Summary:
The Clinical Manager will provide visionary and innovative leadership to oversee the daily operations of residential treatment facilities, fostering the development and continuous improvement of a high-quality, professional care environment tailored for adults with primary mental health conditions. They will demonstrate exceptional expertise in delivering specialized services to our clients, with a comprehensive understanding of associated conditions such as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and complex family dynamics. The role demands strong clinical insight, a commitment to person-centered care, and the ability to design and implement effective treatment strategies to support their well-being.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees clinical admissions and intakes, including admission assessment and preliminary treatment plan.
- Intervenes as needed, clinically with clients in situations such as: Crisis debriefing, crisis intervention, ACA risk, and special needs.
- On call 24/7 for clinical emergencies and consultations and call outs.
- Oversee the timely completion of psychosocial assessments, clinical admission notes, and master treatment plans for new admissions.
- Provides group therapy and covers case load for clients and psychological services and is responsible for the provision of appropriate services for dual diagnosis clients.
- Coordinates the family therapy program.
- Facilitates weekly treatment planning meetings, group clinical meetings, and counselor/program staff meetings.
- Facilitate and development of communication to ensure efficient interdepartmental communication.
- Coordinates with Clinical Director and other team members to monitor and ensure compliance with State licensing and regulatory standards.
- Provides and facilitates quality assessment and improvement training, and staff development for direct reports.
- Participates in quality assurance and utilization review activities as directed by the Facility Administrator.
- Informs Facility administrator of issues relating to staff issues
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Family & Marriage Counseling
- Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) registration and/or licensure (AMFT), demonstrating professional training and competency in providing therapeutic services.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a behavioral healthcare field managing direct reports in a residential or hospital setting.
- Thorough knowledge of management principles, clinical systems and operations, billing and collections, quality assurance, and regulatory/accreditation agency requirements.
- Previous experience in working in a mental health treatment setting, ideally with individuals presenting with co-occurring disorders, including mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and trauma, along with addiction or other behavioral health concerns.
- EMDR training and/or certification is a plus.
- Valid California Driver’s License required.
- Individuals in personal recovery must have a minimum of 2 years clean and sober.
- Must pass a Livescan criminal background check as required by licensing authorities.
- CPR & First Aid Certification required.

- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, including DHCS, DSS, and Joint Commission standards.
- Follow company policies on safety, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
- Participate in audits, training, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
