About Job

The City Psychotherapy New York, LCSW, PLLC is now hiring LMSWs to join an emerging virtual group practice and therapist training program, providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy for adult clients. ????

This fully remote position is a part-time, W2, non-exempt, hourly position. The minimum overall time commitment for this position will build up to 20 hours per week, which includes paid sessions (15 hours/week) and paid administrative work (5 hours/week).

Offer for full-time status may be extended once you maintain at least 25 client sessions per week for 4 consecutive weeks. Full-time status also consists of approximately 10 hours per week of paid administrative work, and makes team members eligible for 10 days of paid vacation/PTO, in addition to your existing paid sick time. ????️

  • Have a private professional workspace for online video sessions that is quiet, distraction-free, and thoughtfully-maintained with the client view in mind.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build up to, and maintain, a minimum average of 15 weekly therapy sessions (45-50-minute individual, couples, or family sessions).
  • A minimum of 8 weekly session slots available during evening or weekend hours.
  • Attend weekly individual or group supervision with Dr. Daniel Olavarría toward clinical licensure (paid).
  • Attend weekly marketing meetings and participate in marketing efforts (paid).
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, completed within 48 hours of the session held, in accordance with ethical, legal, and company standards.
  • Co-author at least one blog post per month with Dr. Daniel Olavarría (paid).

Compensation And Unique Benefits ????

The Details:

This is a Part-Time, W2, non-exempt, hourly position.

Caseload expectation is a minimum of 15 client sessions per week, with the option to expand beyond that if you choose, and approximately 5 hours per week of paid administrative work. Full-time status consists of 25+ weekly sessions and approximately 10 hours of paid administrative time per week.

As an Associate Therapist, you'll receive:

Session Compensation:

  • $40/hour - individual therapy (includes 45-minute client session + 15-minute progress note and session planning).
  • $45/hour - couples/family therapy (includes 45-50-minute client session + 10-15-minute progress note and session planning).
  • $5 increase for client session pay rate for all sessions if you maintain at least 20 client sessions per week for 4 consecutive weeks.
  • Additional pay increase once you've earned your LCSW.

Additional Compensation:

  • $20/hour for non-session work, including:
  • 2 hours per week of admin time for emails, collateral contacts, additional paperwork or session planning, miscellaneous tasks.
  • Weekly clinical supervision (1:1 or group) and other required meetings.
  • 15-minute video/phone consultations with prospective clients (prorated to $5 per documented consultation).
  • Blog posts or articles co-authored with Dr. Daniel.

Overtime Pay
