The Cumberland School Department is hiring a committed and student-focused School Psychologist for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a full-time, onsite position working directly with elementary and/or secondary students to support academic, emotional, and behavioral success.

Position Details:

• Location: Cumberland, RI
  
• Start Date: August 2025
  
• Work Schedule: Full-time, 2025-2026 school year
  
• Setting: Onsite only

• Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results in accordance with district, state, and federal regulations
  
• Develop individualized recommendations and interventions based on student needs
  
• Work collaboratively with educators and support teams to analyze data, monitor progress, and shape intervention strategies
  
• Participate actively in IEP and Evaluation Team meetings, ensuring documentation and compliance are maintained
  
• Maintain organized records and support referral tracking procedures
  
• Serve as a resource for crisis response planning and MTSS initiatives
  
• Consult with school staff and families to help design behavior and academic intervention plans

• Master's or Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology
  
• Rhode Island School Psychologist certification (or eligibility)
  
• Knowledge of special education law, MTSS, and data-driven intervention
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
