About Job

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child and family counseling, crisis intervention, and special education. This role is essential in promoting the mental health and well-being of students, providing support to those with developmental disabilities, autism, and other special needs. The School Psychologist will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Duties

  • Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine students' needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and safety plans for at-risk students.
  • Collaborate with special education staff to support students with disabilities.
  • Conduct psychological testing and behavioral assessments to inform treatment plans.
  • Engage in conflict management and crisis management strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and terminology relevant to patient care.
  • Provide early intervention services for children requiring additional support.
  • Work closely with families to provide resources and referrals for additional services as necessary.
  • Participate in case management activities to ensure comprehensive support for students.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
  • Strong background in school psychology, including knowledge of applied behavior analysis.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health practices, patient assessment, and psychotherapy techniques.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or other special needs.
  • Proficiency in creating safety plans and managing crises effectively.
  • Knowledge of social work principles related to child welfare and family dynamics.

Pay: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour
