A K-12 school in the Long Island area is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a part-time, contract position running from September 2025 through June 2026. This role offers a unique opportunity to support students' academic, emotional, and social well-being within a small caseload setting, providing meaningful contributions to their educational journey.

Location: Valley Stream, NY (onsite)

Assignment Details:

  • Part-time: 3 days per week
  • Contract duration: September 2025 - June 2026
  • Small caseload allowing for focused and personalized student support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for K-12 students
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to develop effective intervention plans
  • Provide counseling and support services tailored to student needs
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as necessary

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure appropriate for New York State
  • Experience working with K-12 populations, preferably in school settings
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities with students, parents, and staff
  • Ability to manage a small caseload effectively and provide individualized support
