Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and experience working with diverse populations, including children and families. This role involves providing support, assessment, and intervention to individuals facing various challenges, including mental health issues, developmental disabilities, and crisis situations. The Social Worker will play a crucial role in promoting well-being and enhancing the quality of life for clients through effective case management and therapeutic techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling services using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients in their personal growth and recovery.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on behavioral health, addiction counseling, and crisis intervention.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients, ensuring holistic support across various settings including hospitals, community organizations, and home environments.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including intake assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Engage in clinical research activities as needed to enhance service delivery and contribute to the field of social work.
  • Provide case management services to assist clients in accessing resources such as housing, education, and healthcare.
  • Support families dealing with children with special needs or developmental disabilities through counseling and advocacy.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or LMSW.
  • Experience working with children and families in various settings is preferred.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems for managing patient records effectively.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding practices is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and crisis management strategies.
  • Knowledge of PTSD care practices and experience working with individuals facing trauma or addiction issues is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop appropriate treatment strategies tailored to individual client needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through training in areas such as geriatrics, psychopharmacology, or Christian counseling is encouraged.
