Licensed Therapist (Behavioral Health and Addiction)
The Licensed Therapist with expertise in behavioral health and addiction provides individual and group therapy to clients struggling with addiction and substance use issues. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering therapeutic interventions, and supporting clients throughout their recovery journey. The therapist will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and facilitate positive outcomes for clients.
Therapeutic Services:
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address behavioral health and addiction issues.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to treat clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and others.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client assessments and goals
- Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Perform comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and substance use disorders.
- Identify co-occurring disorders and develop integrated treatment strategies to address them.
- Case Management:
- Collaborate with case managers, physicians, and other healthcare providers to coordinate and monitor client care.
- Provide referrals to additional services as needed, such as medical treatment, housing assistance, and social services.
- Maintain and update detailed client records, documenting progress, treatment plans, and any changes in condition.
- Client Support:
- Offer crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress or relapses.
- Assist clients in developing coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and life skills to enhance their overall well-being.
- Engage clients’ families in therapy sessions and provide education about mental health and addiction.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including medical professionals, social workers, and community organizations.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning discussions to support client care and program development.
- Participate in regular supervision and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and maintain licensure.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Licensure: Current KY state licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA), or Clincal Social Worker (CSW)
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in providing therapy with a focus on behavioral health and addiction treatment.
