Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior analysis strategies and support their growth and development. Your expertise in behavioral therapy and patient care will be essential in creating a positive impact on the lives of those you work with.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Conduct assessments and collect data to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and self-care skills.
- Provide support in behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and care plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in teaching moments that foster learning and skill development for clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in special education and behavioral health.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis methodologies.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation practices, and patient care standards.
- Ability to collect data effectively for tracking client progress.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- A background in special education or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
