About Job

The Admissions Counselor plays a vital role in driving enrollment growth at Florida Coastal University by actively engaging with prospective students, parents, counselors, and other stakeholders. This role blends student advising with consultative sales, with a strong focus on achieving defined enrollment targets. The counselor is responsible for promoting academic programs, guiding students through the admissions process, and converting leads into successful enrollments. This is an on-site role based out of the Jacksonville campus office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively promote Florida Coastal University’s programs to prospective students via in person, phone, virtual, and event-based outreach.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for walk-ins and scheduled campus visits, providing guidance on programs, eligibility, financial aid, and application processes.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment targets—meeting enrollment numbers is a key result area (KRA) for this position.
  • Manage and convert leads generated from various sources (inquiries, events, digital campaigns) through structured follow-up and relationship-building.
  • Utilize the university’s CRM system to track leads, update student interactions, and monitor progress through the admissions funnel.
  • Represent the university at local and regional recruitment events, college fairs, and high school visits.
  • Collaborate with marketing, academic, and financial aid teams to ensure consistent messaging and seamless student experiences.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on conversion rates, enrollment metrics, and recruitment campaign performance.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and standards throughout the recruitment and admissions process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in student recruitment, admissions, or sales in a goal-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed enrollment/sales targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, student databases, and MS Office tools.
  • Availability to work flexible hours and travel locally as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with the Jacksonville education ecosystem or broader Florida region.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, data-driven enrollment teams.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3,000.00 - $4,000.00 per month
