EMIT Learning is seeking compassionate and qualified School Social Workers to support students and families on our Greenfield, MA campus for the 2025–26 school year.

Job Description: School Social Worker

Number of Positions: 3+
Location: Greenfield, MA
Start Date: August 2025 (ASAP hire preferred)
End Date: June 2026 (with possible extension)
Schedule: 35–40 hours per week
(includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Required License/Certification: Valid Massachusetts Social Worker License

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and counseling to students dealing with emotional, behavioral, or social challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators to develop strategies that promote student success.
• Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
• Conduct assessments and connect students and families to appropriate community resources and services.
• Serve as a liaison between the school, home, and outside agencies to ensure continuity of care and support.
• Promote a positive school climate through restorative practices and crisis intervention, when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Previous experience in a school setting or working with children/adolescents in therapeutic or support roles.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, behavioral intervention strategies, and child development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
