Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, providing support and implementing behavior management strategies. Your expertise in teaching, communication, and classroom management will be essential in fostering a positive learning environment for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.
- Provide direct support to clients, assisting them in developing social skills, communication abilities, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure consistency in behavior management strategies.
- Monitor client progress and document behavioral data accurately for review.
- Assist in the development of curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Engage clients in educational activities that promote literacy, math skills, and overall cognitive development.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment conducive to learning and growth.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Background in special education, early childhood education, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management techniques.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of American Sign Language is a plus for effective communication with deaf individuals.
- Experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development is beneficial.
- Previous experience working in private schools or childcare settings is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
