CST Peer Support Specialist

About your Role:

The CST Peer Support Specialist (PPS), under the supervision of the Clinical Director or Regional Director, is responsible for providing opportunities for individuals receiving services to direct their own recovery process. The PSS is also responsible for facilitating the development of a sense of wellness and self-worth.
  • Act as a role model to persons in recovery to inspire hope, share life experiences and lessons learned as a person in recovery;
  • Model/mentor recovery process and demonstrate coping skills;
  • Engage individuals who may be at risk and provide stage-appropriate recovery education and supports, e.g., usage of the leveling system and evidence-based practices
  • This position requires travel of approximately 50% of the time.

  • Pay starting at $19.23 per hour


Does the Following Apply to You?
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Have maintained, within the last three (3) years, at least 12 months of successful full or part time paid or voluntary work experience (not necessarily consecutive) OR
  • One-year post-secondary education experience totaling 24 credit hours
  • Certified Peer Support Specialist for North Carolina
