**This position is eligible for $5,000 in sign-on and retention bonuses paid through successfully completing orientation, 90-days, and 180-day introductory periods!**

- 10:00a-10:00p, Friday-Sunday
- 10:00p-10:00a, Thursday-Saturday
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The mobile team will focus on supporting individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis in the community. The team may complete follow ups with these individuals for up to 14 days.
The mobile team will respond to calls including, but not limited to:
1. Individuals known to have a mental illness and/or substance use related concern who are experiencing a crisis
2. Individuals displaying thinking and/or behavior that is at least suggestive of mental illness and/or substance use
3. Lethality attempts or threats, when determined safe to do so by management
4. Individuals experiencing emotional trauma
5. Follow up on law enforcement referrals
Clinicians will be responsible for providing brief mental health and/or alcohol and other drug screenings, crisis intervention, and appropriate recommendations for care and linkage to services to a diverse population of clients. Services will be provided in a community based environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Completes initial screenings for mental health and substance use clients.
2. Makes appropriate recommendations for treatment level of care.
3. Manage each referral for appropriateness and services needed, including outreach efforts in the natural environment.
4. Training and experience in Trauma Informed Care, recognizing the impact of trauma on self as caregiver, as well as client. Gives input from a trauma-recovery perspective into the Civilian Mobile Crisis program and procedures affecting treatment of clients, with the aim of reducing or eliminating re-traumatizing clients, providing choice, respect, and consideration for clients and their recovery.
5. Assesses and appraises risk from both clinical (i.e., risk of harm to self or other) and administrative (i.e., risk of negative outcome) perspectives.
6. Consults with clinical leadership as needed to assist in risk management and clinical dispositions.
7. Assesses potentially dangerous situations and takes appropriate precautionary measures to assure client/worker safety.
8. Performs appropriate clinical interventions and/or brief treatment around well-defined issues that can be dealt with in a specific time frame. Service may be required to be rendered at any site in the community.
9. With client’s permission, works collaboratively with other treatment providers, agencies, and client’s significant other to assist the client in resolving his/her crisis.
10. Completes referrals to Netcare, hospitals, counseling/treatment agencies, community support providers, other specialized services, etc. based on client’s level of care, DSM criteria, economic circumstances, and cultural background.
11. Maintains timely and complete documentation of services and activities which meets the standards of Netcare and accrediting agencies.
12. Meets or exceeds productivity expectations.
13. Meets and remains certified in all aspects of the crisis and assessment clinician job description.
14. Performs health officer duties as needed.
15. Performs related duties as required.
