Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Associate Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical counseling and behavioral health, with a focus on providing support to families and individuals facing various challenges. This role involves working with clients of ages 18 and older, including the elderly 65+, and requires an understanding of therapeutic techniques and documentation practices. The Family Therapist will play a crucial role in fostering positive relationships and promoting mental well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, couple and family therapy sessions to address emotional, behavioral, and relational issues.
- Follow personalized treatment plans based on client assessments and needs.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive client care.
- Provide support and guidance to individuals dealing with mental health and interpersonal challenges.
- Monitor client progress to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Attend any training and supervision at the agency.
Experience
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required.
- Registered with the licensing board having an intern number.
- Proven experience in counseling, particularly with individuals and/or couple.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health practices and therapeutic interventions.
- Some knowledge in documentation processes related to mental health treatment.
- Demonstrated ability to provide patient care with empathy and professionalism.
