Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals facing various challenges related to mental health, addiction, and behavioral issues. Duties

• Provide crisis intervention and management to clients in need of immediate support.
• Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate action plans.
• Offer behavioral health support through counseling sessions, focusing on mental health and addiction issues.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive change in clients' lives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions within EHR systems.
• Mentor individuals seeking guidance in their recovery journey, fostering a supportive environment.
• Stay informed about best practices in social work and behavioral health to enhance service delivery.

Experience

• A background in social work, mental health counseling, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with crisis intervention and management techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with addiction counseling practices is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation and record-keeping is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
