Program Description
Inwood Community Services (ICS) Comprehensive Outpatient Addiction Program (COAP) is a NYS Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (NYS OASAS) licensed Part #822 medically supervised outpatient chemical dependency treatment for individuals with substance abuse disorders and significant others.
Education
LMSW or LCSW, Human Services Master's Degree, Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
Responsibilities:
● The intake coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the admission process for individuals seeking treatment at ICS-COAP.
● Assess all referred clients to determine appropriateness for admission, including Modify Mini Screening (MMS), LOCADTR, intake data entry, and assignment of clients in consultation with the Unit Director.
● Network with referral sources.
● Develop and implement outreach strategies to reach target populations and address community needs.
●Coordinate and participate in community events, workshops, and educational programs
● Provide individual counseling for a small caseload.
● Documentation of client assessments in compliance with NYS OASAS documentation regulations using the AWARDS electronic health record system.
Skills
Excellent communication and writing skills. Experience with AWARDS-electronic health records and assessing individuals using the DSM-V diagnostic criteria.
Bilingual: Spanish/English required.

Pay: $55,950.00 - $66,950.00 per year
