Job Summary
The Counselor/Counselor Assistant plays a vital role in supporting behavioral health professionals in providing quality care to clients. This position involves assisting in the delivery of counseling services, maintaining accurate medical documentation, and contributing to the overall therapeutic environment. Duties

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation for each client interaction.
• Conduct data collection to monitor client progress and outcomes.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients effectively.
• Support clients with PTSD care by implementing therapeutic strategies as directed by counselors.
• Collaborate with staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Participate in outpatient program activities, including workshops and support groups.
• Stay informed about ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation of mental health diagnoses.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of counseling principles is preferred.
