As an Intake Coordinator, you will:

Manage referral intake
Patient screenings
Insurance verification
DME orders
Scheduling of hospice admission visits

A few must-haves for an Admissions Coordinator:

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Preferably 2–3 years of hospice, home health, or medical intake experience
Familiarity with Medicare billing and hospice eligibility criteria
Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail abilities, including data entry and documentation tracking
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills, including engagement with physicians, facilities, referral sources, and families
Ability to handle stress and multitask, managing interruptions while prioritizing admissions and patient needs
