Job Description:
Qualified Mental Health Professional-will provide counseling in the home and community for their client(s) providing individual, family & crisis counseling and provides training and skill building for children with mental health disorders and/or experencing emotional disturbances.
Quality Mental Health Professional-will provide Mental Health Skill Building Services to adults over 18 who struggle with independence and activities of daily living as well as provide crisis stabilization to adults who are struggling with crisis.
Requirements:
- Must posess a QMHP credentials granted by the State of Virginia. (Preferred if both)
- Experience with writing clinical counseling notes, quarterly reports, individual service plans, crisis reports and mental health notations needed.
- Able to commit to weekly supervision if providing intensive in home services
- Available for needed professional trainings Handle with care, CPR, notation, etc.
- Must have own transportation
- Must be able to take on cases in the surrounding 757 area. (Office is located in Hampton VA, clients may be located in the metropolitan areas).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $29.00 - $33.50 per hour
Requirements
- Valid QMHP registration
- Valid licensure or certification relevant to mental health practice.
- Experience working with children, families, and individuals with diverse needs is preferred.
- Proficiency in various therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis, and behavioral therapy.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, patient assessment techniques, and clinical documentation practices.
- Ability to work effectively within inpatient or outpatient settings while adhering to ethical standards of practice.
- Familiarity with crisis management techniques and experience in hospital or clinic environments is advantageous.
