About Job

Familias Unidas is seeking to hire a Full time bilingual Spanish speaking therapist to provide school based trauma-informed clinical services to youth and families.

The therapist works directly with youth and families providing individual, child and family counseling, crisis intervention, case management advocacy and trauma-informed practices to support youth at local schools.

This position is good for a clinician collecting hours towards licensure. Individual and group supervision and professional development training are provided.

Familias Unidas exists to improve wellness and self-sufficiency in Latinx and other communities. We accomplish this by delivering quality mental health counseling, service advocacy, and information/referral services. Our programs include: mental health, education and prevention, youth development, and wrap-around services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

1. Provision of clinical services, including individual, child and family therapy, and group therapy.

2. Provision of clinical services, including clinical assessments, treatment planning, therapy, crisis intervention, and case management linkage to youth, adults, and families in outpatient and school setting.
2. Maintain appropriate caseload .
3. Conduct intakes and assessments, diagnostic and treatment formulation, implementation of treatment plan, and maintenance of case records.
4. Research and provide information, education, and case management advocacy as needed.
5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, other providers, and school personnel regarding individual clients as appropriate.
6. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education and/or Experience:
1. MSW or MA in counseling psychology or social work, with an interest in working towards licensure.
2. Registration with California BBS or eligible for registration as AMFT, ASW, or APCC.
3. A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in mental health or social services field.
B. Diversity/ Language Skills:
1. Bilingual (Spanish) required.
2. Cultural sensitivity with the African-American and Latinx communities.

3. Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
