Velocity Home Healthcare is looking for an Independent contractor-Medical Social Worker in the Northern VA area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Medical Social Worker (MSW) will conduct assessments of psycho-social factors related to the client's illness. The MSW will provide counseling based on the assessment and assist with community resources. The MSW will deliver a number of quality healthcare services including:

• Assess the clients Home Situation and Financial Resources
• Provide Community Resource Education and Planning
• Provide Assistance with Long-range Planning

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a valid Social Work license in the state of VA
• Masters degree in Social Work preferred
• Applicant must possess basic computer literacy skills. Current documentation program is Wellsky (Kinnser)
• Prefer at least one year of home healthcare experience. Not mandatory
• Professional Liability Insurance or be willing to purchase (Cost=approx $100/year)
• Valid driver's license and vehicle with insurance policy

MSW SHOULD POSSESS:

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a team
• Aptitude in problem-solving ability
• Professional attitude and good communication skills.

WORK LOCATION:

• Loudoun County
• Fairfax County
• Arlington County
• Prince William County
• Cities of Fairfax, Alexandria, Manassas Park, and Manassas

*Coverage of at least 1-2 out of the 4 counties listed above.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: $65-$80 per visit

Note: Per visit rate negotiable based on experience.
