Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Licensed Social Worker-Licensed Counselor located in Cincinnati, OH, with some work-from-home acceptable. The Licensed Social Worker-Licensed Counselor will provide individual and group therapy, conduct assessments, and develop treatment plans. Responsibilities also include case management, crisis intervention, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. The professional will maintain accurate records, follow ethical guidelines, and support clients in achieving their personal and therapeutic goals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides individual, group and/or family therapy in an outpatient setting
- Conducts comprehensive assessments, develops treatment plans and implements evidenced-based interventions
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
- Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, including medical, psychiatry, case management and peer recovery services
- Utilizes a trauma-informed person-centered and culturally competent approach to client care
- Facilitates group therapy utilizing evidence-based curricula
- Develop client-centered treatment plans based on the needs, strengths, abilities and preferences of the client
- Assists clients in crisis by evaluating and providing appropriate interventions
- Engages family and supportive others in treatment, transition and discharge planning processes
- Evaluates clients’ progress towards goals, utilizes motivational enhancement strategies and determines appropriate interventions/modalities based on the individualized needs of each client
- Promotes participation in self-help and recovery support groups
- Maintains strong clinical and ethical boundaries with clients
Qualifications
- Must be licensed in the State of Ohio –LCDC II or LCDC III, LSW, LPC, LISW, or LPCC.
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related Human Service Field or equivalency.
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree with LPC or LSW Licensure preferred.
- Knowledge of the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) and ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria.
- Knowledge of and experience in diagnostic assessments, cognitive behavioral therapeutic modalities and trauma-informed care.
- Adopts a harm reduction philosophy and supports the utilization of medication-assisted treatments as a best practice.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications, including Office Suite, Outlook and Teams.
- Adept at learning and navigating electronic health record systems.
