We are seeking a Part-Time Psychiatrist to join a community-focused healthcare team in Shirley, Long Island.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans including medication management.
- Provide ongoing psychiatric care, monitor medications, and adjust treatments as needed.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Collaborate with primary care providers and mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated care.
- Participate in case conferences, treatment planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Document patient interactions accurately, manage psychiatric emergencies, and offer crisis intervention.
- Engage in professional development and supervise healthcare staff as required.
- Qualifications include MD or DO in Psychiatry, 3-5 years of clinical experience, valid NY license, and board certification or eligibility.
- Strong communication skills, cultural competence, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
