A K-12 school in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to support students social and emotional well-being throughout the current school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with students, families, and school staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans and ensure student success
- Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and connect students and families with community resources
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with school and district policies
Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified Social Worker with experience in school settings
- Knowledge of K-12 student development, counseling techniques, and crisis intervention strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and school personnel
- Ability to manage caseloads and maintain confidentiality
