Rising Tide Specialized Therapies, LLC provides exceptional therapeutic services for individuals with disabilities throughout the greater Austin Texas area. We are seeking a motivated, passionate, creative, & dependable Recreation Therapist to join our growing team (Austin area) with the flexibility to build your schedule and competitive compensation.

Our company serves clients in several areas from Austin to San Antonio & in between. We are currently looking to pair clients withtherapistsin the following areas:

Recreation (hours & area):

• 4 Hrs./wk. - North Austin (Lakeline area)
• 2 Hrs./wk. - NW Austin (Steiner Ranch)
• 6 Hrs./wk. -South Austin (Circle C)
• 10 Hrs./mo. - South Autin (Sunset Valley)
• 10 Hrs./mo. - South Austin (South Manchaca)
• 3 Hrs./wk. - South Austin/Buda (Shady Hollow/Hays)
• 5 Hrs./wk. - Luling/San Marcos

Aquatic (if certified or willing to get certified):

• 2 Hrs./wk. - NW Austin (Steiner Ranch)
• 3 Hrs./wk. - Kyle
• 10 Hrs./mo. - Luling/San Marcos

Combined we have approx. 25 hrs./wk. of Rec. & 7.5 hrs./wk. of Aqua that will be available upon onboarding. Opportunities are also available to grow, as we are consistently getting referrals for new clients. Curate the perfect caseload for you: full caseload, add hours as a part-time job, or light hours for supplemental income. Position Requirements:

• Provide one-on-one recreation therapy services (primarily in the community)
• Create, implement, & evaluate goals and objectives specific to each client’s individual needs & interests
• Provide all documentation in a timely manner (session notes, quarterlies, assessments, etc.)
• Communicate effectively with clients, client family, care team members, & other service providers
• Driving - insure reliable transportation for yourself and transport of clients to and from community activities
• Open to collaborating on group community outreach projects with the Rising Tide team

Position Credentials (Required):

Candidates must hold proper credential as CTRS (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist) granted by NCTRC. All service providers must also have/maintain the following:

• Bachelor's degree (or higher)
• Social Security Card
• Certification/License in respective field
• Professional Liability Insurance
• Valid Driver’s License
• CPR Certification
• Must complete ANE training (upon hire)
• Background check (upon hire)

Preferred Skills (not required):

• Aquatic certification (or willingness to get Aquatic certified)
• Sign Language and/or experience with using communication devices

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 35 per week
