A K-12 educational institution in Oakland, CA is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a contract position during the upcoming school year. This role offers an opportunity to support students academic, social, and emotional development in a dynamic school environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' learning and behavioral needs
  • Collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention plans
  • Providing counseling and support services to students facing emotional or behavioral challenges
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in School Psychology (Ed.S., M.A., or Ph.D.) and eligibility for California credential or license
  • Experience working in K-12 settings, preferably in diverse urban school environments
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
  • Ability to manage caseload efficiently and handle multiple priorities
