A school district in Barrington, IL, is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to support elementary students through a contracted role for the upcoming school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for elementary-aged students
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and intervention services to address academic, social, and emotional challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support strategies
- Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure as required by Illinois
- Experience working within an elementary school setting preferred
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, families, and students
