Position Overview:
The Before & After School Site Leader is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment by supporting the daily implementation of the school-age childcare program. This role includes supervising staff, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and fostering positive relationships with children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interact effectively and frequently with all children.
  • Maintain proper supervision of children, ensuring compliance with NYS OCFS ratio regulations.
  • Uphold the overall health and safety of each child enrolled.
  • Supervise support staff in accordance with YMCA policies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or 18 college credits in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years professional childcare experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation & Schedule:
  • Salary: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Hours: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
