Position Overview:

The Before & After School Site Leader is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment by supporting the daily implementation of the school-age childcare program. This role includes supervising staff, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and fostering positive relationships with children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

Interact effectively and frequently with all children.
Maintain proper supervision of children, ensuring compliance with NYS OCFS ratio regulations.
Uphold the overall health and safety of each child enrolled.
Supervise support staff in accordance with YMCA policies.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or 18 college credits in a related field preferred.
Minimum of two years professional childcare experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
