About Job

Milestones has provided treatment to children (2-10 years) diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder for 27 years. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), incidental teaching, and embedded instruction during play are core characteristics of our program. Treatment focuses on teaching language, communication, play, social, self-care, safety skills, and eliminating challenging and unsafe behaviors. Treatment is provided in the home and community.

This position requires certification as a Registered Behavior Technician but if you are not a Registered Behavior Technician, but have completed the 40 hour online RBT training course and can provide us with the completion certificate, you qualify.

You have 90 days from your first day of work with clients to take the RBT proctored exam and get certified

You will be paid for work even if you have not taken the RBT proctored exam but must complete within 90 days of first day of work.

Locations/Times of Open Positions:

Folsom: M-F 11:30-1:30

Folsom: 2:30-5:30

After 45 days of 15-18 hours per week (Part-Time) we might offer 30-33 hours per week which qualifies you for benefits like paid holidays

Training: You will receive 3-6 hours of hands-on training with client prior to working alone with the client. Hands on training is paid! Training continues every other week.

Requirements:
Finger Print clearance (Milestones will run prints)

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent

Certificate showing completion of 40 hr RBT course or RBT certification

Before you Start these medical records are required:

1) TB clearance (When you take a test results take 3 days)

2) Evidence of immunizations (MMR and Varicella aka chicken pox) If you do not have records you can get a blood draw from your doctor that will test you for immunity to MMR and Varicella)

3) Letter from a physician that you do not have physical limitations to work (have your doctor fill out our form or write a note indicating no physical limitations to work)

Other Requirement: Either child development courses (2) OR experience working with children under the age of 12. This can be as a parent, a volunteer, babysitting or any other job experience with children.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one behavioral therapy to individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
- Implement behavior management techniques and strategies as outlined in individualized care plans
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior during therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
