RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides person centered wellness focused support to engage individuals and families in treatment; shares his/her firsthand lived experiences with recovery to inspire hope, increase engagement in treatment and in the communities and support individuals and families in articulating personal goals for wellness, recovery resiliency and self–advocacy; functions within the individual’s treatment team and will receive individual supervision. This position requires an individual who has lived experience with complex behavioral health issues in general and as a caregiver of a young child with behavioral health issues; adds value to the team through their ability to engage families at a level that people without this experience would not; helps families navigate uncomfortable environments, identify and engage natural support, and assist families to build skills and increase their self-efficacy.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements
M1: High school diploma or equivalent
M2: Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
M3: Must be, or have been, a primary caregiver (biological parent, kinship caregiver, foster parent, adoptive parent) of a child, youth, or young adult who has received or is receiving behavioral health services
M4: Must have progressed far enough along in their own parenting journey parenting a child with mental health, substance use, or co-occurring disorders that they are now capable of supporting another parent who is experiencing similar challenges connecting to available resources, navigating systems, and handling day-to-day life
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.
ANNUAL SALARY RANGE
$37,832 - $66,206
