Summary of Position:

Responsible for supporting patient recovery by implementing services in accordance with treatment plans developed by clinical team, monitoring clients’ needs and encouraging participation in social and recreational activities. Assess needs, assist with obtaining services and benefits, arrange for transportation, and help with personal hygiene and daily living tasks.

Observe and document clients’ behavior, physical condition and emotional development. May need to solve problems between residents or ensure their safety during outings and activities.

Resident Assistants are drivers and companions, happy to ensure that the residents’ environment and experience are comfortable, safe and enjoyable. Resident Assistants will chaperon outings with clients.

Specific Duties:

• Assisting clients with routine household chores including laundry, cleaning and daily living skills
• Help residents stay on track with daily schedules
• Monitoring clients in common areas and during outside activities
• Assist with the planning and implementation of social and recreational activities
• Leading group learning sessions and program meetings
• Encourage participation in social and recreational activities
• Coach/aid residents with various tasks, such as revising resumes, searching for jobs
• Assist with client orientations
• Completing necessary paperwork
• Closely monitor the health and well-being of our residents; communicate with nursing and counseling
• Transport clients when needed
• Assist with client meals
• Perform client search and seizure activities
• Problem solve and de-escalate when clients are agitated
• All other duties as assigned.
• Experience, Skills and Educational Requirements:
• High School diploma, associate’s degree preferred
• Experience working within health care industry
• First Aid, CPR trained preferred
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 setting, including holidays, weekends and inclement weather

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
