Overview
We are seeking a new therapist for our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong curiosity of the human condition and experience working with people from all walks of life. This role involves providing therapeutic support to individuals and families, as one member of a larger team. The Family Therapist will work collaboratively with our dynamic team to create meaningful treatment plans, provide interventions, and support our clients as they embark on a journey of personal change, growth, and awakening.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy using techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, crisis intervention, and behavioral management.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including intake forms, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collect data for clinical research and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with our other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work or related field; licensure as a therapist is required.
- Interesting life experience.
- An internal curiosity about life, people, and systems.
- A desire to help others while making the world a better place.
- Experience working with diverse populations including those with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Understanding that all behaviors make sense in context and a belief system that includes most people can change for the better.
- To be comfortable working with a forensic population as needed.

Dos Arboles is a thriving local treatment center with a different approach: We offer life changing treatment programs that include classes, groups, individual therapy, coaching, and case management. We are lucky to be led by our Head of Services, the renowned Dr. Mike Rodriguez. Our center is staffed with licensed psychologists, therapists, certified life coaches, and anger management counselors. All staff receive training and supervision from the appropriately credentialed staff (LMFT, PYS, LCSW, etc.) so that all allowable hours count towards your licensure.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
