Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our team in Beaumont, TX. This position is crucial in providing culturally competent mental health services to our clientele. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of individuals and families within our community.
Responsibilities
As a QMHP, your key responsibilities will involve the following:
- Skill-Building Training: Provide one-on-one skill-building sessions at the client's home, office, or in the community, utilizing evidence-based practices and curriculum to achieve treatment goals.
- Crisis Intervention: Offer support and crisis/emergency services through face-to-face, phone, or on-call contact. Accurately document all crisis-related activities.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive client records in the electronic system, adhering to Texas Administrative Code requirements. Write detailed progress notes to track client progress.
- Client Relationship Building: Utilize strong listening skills to establish rapport with clients, families, and support systems. Provide emotional support and encourage family involvement.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and timely records and assist with data review as needed.
- Progress Reporting: Keep families and team members informed about treatment progress and goal achievement.
- Daily Living Skills: Assist clients with developing independent living skills, including behavior management, budgeting, transportation, time management, and communication.
- Collaboration: Build strong relationships with community partners, including courts, probation, and tribal agencies, to address client needs.
- Skill Development: Teach clients effective communication, problem-solving, and anger management techniques.
- Team Participation: Attend required staff meetings, company programs, and professional development training.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Passion for providing culturally competent mental health services.
- Must be willing to commute to see clients in the community
