About Job

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate mental health clinician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling and a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals and families. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions to clients facing various challenges, including mental health issues, developmental disabilities, and trauma-related conditions.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify mental health needs.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients in their treatment process.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention and management strategies for clients in acute distress.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care, including case management and referrals as needed.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to improve service delivery.
  • Provide support for patients dealing with PTSD, addiction issues, and other behavioral health challenges.
  • Engage in home and community care as necessary to support client well-being.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution with a valid NJ issued professional license.
  • Strong experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, and behavioral therapy techniques.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems for medical documentation and record keeping.
  • Experience working with children, families, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or geriatrics is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding practices is essential.
  • Ability to conduct intake assessments and develop effective treatment plans based on individual client needs.
  • Proven skills in crisis intervention, case management, and group therapy facilitation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
