School Social Worker

Location: Gifford, IL Social Worker Job and Caseload Details

Position: Contract in a school setting

Hours: Part-time, 3-4 days per week near Gifford, IL

Full-time candidates may also be considered

Caseload: Elementary

Social Worker Job Requirements

Masters Degree in Social Work (required)

An active IL License (required)

Active or in process PEL (required)

Experience in a school setting (preferred)

The ability to work in the U.S. Without a sponsor

Note: Licensed or pending license new graduates are welcome to apply

Social Worker Job Responsibilities

Evaluating students mental health, social-emotional skills, and behavioral needs through observations, interviews, and standardized assessments

Creating and implementing personalized strategies to help students succeed academically and socially, collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators

Responding to crises such as trauma, bullying, family issues, or behavioral escalations, providing immediate support and long-term coping strategies

Acting as a liaison between students, parents, and school staff to ensure a comprehensive, successful approach to student support
