Reports to: PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Location: Family Counseling for School Success - 2471 Morris Avenue, Bronx, NY

Hours: 14 hours per week

Schedule: To be determined

Salary: UNPAID

Major Duties

• Provide initial intake, assessment, planning and ongoing case management with families.
• Provide individual and group counseling and crisis intervention as needed.
• Assist students in attending school regularly through identifying obstacles and connecting with resources
• Develop resources and linkages to meet family's needs.
• Assist in carrying out other aspects of the program including recruitment and school events
• Attend continuing education workshops and trainings.
• Perform statistical, narrative and record keeping duties as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work cohesively as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
• Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
