Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical evaluations and have prior experience working with and evaluating children, individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. They will work closely with our BCBAs, clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to implement effective behavioral interventions that enhance the quality of life for those we serve.
Duties
· Conduct diagnostic psychological assessments and evaluations (initial and reevaluations).
· Develop and implement treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals.
· Provide individual and group psychotherapy to clients across different age groups, including children, adolescents, and adults.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
· Conduct data collection and analysis to evaluate treatment outcomes and effectiveness.
· Collaborate and consult with medical and clinical staff inside and outside of company including but limited to; Medical Physicians and specialists, LCP, LCSW, OTD, OTR, PT, SLP, SLPA, BCBA/QBA, BCaBA/QASP-S, RBT/ABAT, MT, IEP Team, and parents/family/caregivers.
· Complete and submit forms and documents for authorization to insurance companies.
· Conduct peer reviews with case managers and appeals with insurance companies.
· Meet with Directors to ensure quality of care and progress of caseload.
· Stay current with advancements in the field of psychology through continuing education and professional development.
Requirements
· PhD in Psychology.
· Current certification as Clinical Psychologist.
· State License to practice as a Clinical Psychologist.
· Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism is preferred.
· Strong knowledge of special education principles and practices.
· Proficiency in data collection methods and patient assessment techniques.
· Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
· Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of behavior analysis.
