Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in providing therapeutic services to diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and geriatric clients. This role requires expertise in various therapeutic modalities and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients through effective treatment plans and interventions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, groups, and families, utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on various topics, including coping strategies and social skills development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with ethical standards and regulations.
- Engage in ongoing research to stay updated on best practices in social work and therapeutic interventions.
- Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system and community resources.
- Provide support and guidance to families navigating challenges related to disabilities or geriatric care.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), or Associate (LCMHC-A).
- Experience working with individuals with diverse mental health diagnosis, developmental disabilities, autism, geriatrics, or related populations is preferred.
- Proficiency in group therapy techniques and individual psychotherapy practices.
- Strong skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about advancements in the field of counseling.
