As a psychiatrist at Sun River Health, you will play a crucial role in offering exceptional psychiatric services under Article 31, ensuring that the highest standards of care are upheld. You will work closely with the Senior Vice President of Behavioral Health and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient psychiatric care adhering to professional guidelines and best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatric nurse practitioners and other team members.
• Help develop and implement clinical systems to ensure comprehensive care compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Create individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Maintain communication with various departments regarding patients' psycho-social needs.
• Offer educational programs on psychiatric practices for staff and engage in in-service training.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and needs.
• Engage in continuing education to stay current in psychiatric practices.
• Maintain confidentiality with all patient records and adhere to documentation standards.
• Promote and embody the core values of Sun River Health.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
• Participate in professional meetings and training to enhance services and personal development.

Qualifications:

• Doctorate Degree (M.D., D.O., Ph.D., etc.)
• Licensed to practice medicine in New York State
• 2-4 years of related experience
