Psychiatrist

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Adult Psychiatrist to join our growing mental health team in Blackwood, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions in adults, providing high-quality care in an outpatient setting. Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to diagnose mental health disorders in adult patients, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and more.

Develop personalized treatment plans based on diagnostic assessments, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as medication management, psychotherapy, and other modalities.

Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring patient progress, side effects, and adjusting treatment as necessary.

Work closely with other mental health professionals, including therapists, social workers, and nurses, to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.

Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.

Provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up care for patients to ensure optimal treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as needed.

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution, with specialized training in psychiatry.

Board certification in Adult Psychiatry or board eligibility with a plan to obtain certification.

Valid New Jersey medical license or eligibility for licensure in New Jersey.

At least 1-2 years of experience in adult psychiatry preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Strong diagnostic, therapeutic, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

A genuine desire to help others and an understanding of the complexities of mental health care.
