JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Field Service Technician

Reports to: Territory Manager

Basic Function:

The field service technician is responsible for the safe, efficient cleaning of a variety of surfaces. Other general labor/cleaning/pressure washing tasks may be involved.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for operating the cleaning equipment in a safe and productive manner.
• Uses the proper safety equipment as required for the specific job.
• Selects the proper cleaning agents and cleaning technique to complete each project as efficiently as possible. Protects customers property and assets to avoid damage.
• Technician will maintain a professional image at all times. This includes oneself, driving practices as well as the interior and exterior of the Sparkle Wash mobile wash unit.
• Assures the Sparkle Wash mobile unit is kept in excellent mechanical condition. Occasionally makes minor repairs to equipment as needed. Reports all major truck and equipment issues to Mobile Supervisor.
• Ability to prep, stain or seal decks and concrete.
• Assures that all materials needed to complete the job are taken to the job site.
• Arrives on-time for work, meetings and for scheduled customers/accounts.
• Calls the Mobile Manager or Owner with any problems encountered at the job site.
• Completes all daily and weekly paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Will keep shop area clean and doors locked before leaving building.
• Reports low levels of material and supplies to designated personnel.
• Correspond with customers in a way to promote a positive Sparkle Wash Experience.
• Ability to take before and after pictures of service, use of computer to upload pictures and paperwork to server.
• Performs other needs within the organization.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum Experience: 2 Year General Labor (construction, cleaning, or other service related labor).
• Must have a valid Driver’s License with the ability to be covered on the current Sparkle Wash insurance policy for operating company vehicles.

Skills:

• Must perform general physical activities and be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must possess basic knowledge of the language and terminologies used in this occupation
• Must possess the ability to receive and follow directions both verbally and written.
• Must possess excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must possess the ability to perform simple repairs on equipment.
• Must be able to drive a variety of vehicles and operate lifts.
• Must possess the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Must possess the ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Work Environment:

• Work in all weather conditions in the outdoors and indoors, hot or cold.
• Ability to climb up and down ladders is a must to include scaffolding.
• Scheduling flexibility is required. Weekend and after hours are required to perform this position.

Departmental Relationship:

• The technician works closely with the crew leader and managers.
• The technician will communicate with other technicians as needed to follow business needs and efficiencies.
• The technician will maintain a professional attitude with all members of the team at all times.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
