Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to clients in a clinical environment, facilitating therapy sessions and counseling.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Engage in clinical research to stay updated on best practices in mental health treatment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care and treatment outcomes.
• Utilize cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to assist clients in overcoming challenges related to addiction and mental health.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in addiction counseling or direct support roles within a clinic or hospital setting.
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and their application in therapy.
• Familiarity with medical documentation standards and HIPAA compliance.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development.
