Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients in a clinical environment, facilitating therapy sessions and counseling.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in clinical research to stay updated on best practices in mental health treatment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care and treatment outcomes.
- Utilize cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to assist clients in overcoming challenges related to addiction and mental health.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience in addiction counseling or direct support roles within a clinic or hospital setting.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles and their application in therapy.
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards and HIPAA compliance.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development.
