About Job
The Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) Outpatient (OP) Clinical Psychologist will join a growing multidisciplinary team of behavioral health specialists who provide trauma-informed assessment, psychotherapy and assertive case management services to survivors of trauma and violent crime. This unique program, the first of its kind in the state, creates a continuum of care for psychological recovery starting at the bedside in Henry Ford Hospital’s Level I Trauma Center with a seamless transition of care to the OP TRC at no cost to survivors. In addition to the direct provision of clinical services, the senior clinician will also provide clinical supervision, consultation and training to staff and trainees related to trauma-informed evidence-based psychological interventions. The clinician will also be involved in program development. Clinical interactions will take place primarily in an ambulatory clinic setting, with virtual, home and community visit options provided. Typical patient populations receiving TRC services include: survivors of interpersonal violence, motor vehicle accidents, sexual assault/domestic violence, industrial accidents, and family members of survivors.
In addition to clinical duties, the TRC OP Clinical Psychologist will work collaboratively with the Director of Trauma and Acute Care Surgical Psychology Services (Director) to ensure that all mental health procedures meet the needs of trauma survivors and standards for care. The incumbent will also work with the TRC Clinical Program Manager to determine clinic flow, scheduling and staff educational needs.
