School Social Worker Opening | Full-Time
We are seeking a compassionate, qualified School Social Worker to join a dedicated student services team for the upcoming school year. This full-time role focuses on supporting students' emotional and mental well-being through direct counseling and collaborative intervention.
Primary Responsibilities:

Provide individual and small-group counseling aligned with students IEPs, 504 Plans, and MTSS Tier 2/3 interventions

Collaborate with families to connect students with community-based mental health resources
-
Assist faculty during crisis situations involving student emotional distress or behavioral dysregulation
-
Participate as an active member of the schools counseling and student support team
Qualifications:
-
Hold one of the following New York State credentials:
-
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or currently pursuing licensure (supervision available if in progress)

Certified School Social Worker (C-SSW)

Completion of Mandated Reporter training, per NYSED requirements
-
NYSED fingerprinting and background clearance
-
Sexual Harassment Prevention training documentation as outlined by NYSED
